PL/SQL DEVELOPER - DATA ANALYSIS, DATABASE DESIGN, DATABASE TUNING, TOAD

PL/SQL Developer required for long term contract based in Luxembourg. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in all stages of database engineering life cycle, from entity relationships model to physical database design of Oracle databases
Analyse, review, improve and document existing and future database components
Develop complex PL/SQL store procedures, functions and packages that implement business logic
Provide assistance to development team members in writing complex SQL queries
Provide daily support of the application and assistance to other development teams
Provide expertise to improve the efficiency, quality and reliability
Maintain database schema's in multiple environments
Perform capacity planning and performance tuning
Provide expertise in areas pertaining to Oracle database technologies
Participate in defining and promoting best practices relating to database development

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A specific expertise of minimum 7 years with Oracle data analysis, database design and database tuning is required
Excellent knowledge of Oracle 11g features and concepts
Excellent knowledge in Datamodelling, database design, SQL & PL/SQL development
Very strong analytical skills
Good reporting methods
Tools: Oracle*Designer, TOAD, SQL*Plus & Oracle utilities
Ability to work with a high degree of rigour and method
Ability to diagnose problems
Ability to liaise between users and technical development teams
Knowledge in Web Applications development and in Java technology is an asset
A good knowledge of Unix Scripts is an asset
The work will be carried mainly on the client's premises in Luxembourg but missions in Brussels will be possible.
The technical environment is based on Oracle 11g and Weblogic
TOAD is used as development utility for Oracle.
All documents must be written in Word

English

Ability to write documentation in French or English
