PL/SQL Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop PL/SQL scripts to perform data extractions from Oracle 11g Database for Infor EAM application
- Installation, Deployment and Maintenance of J2EE applications on JBOSS (Version 5.1 & above) and Oracle application Servers (Version 10.1.3 & above)
- Assist with carrying out data updates as needed (PL/SQL Scripting)
- System Integration daily error resolution tasks (review errors, reprocess transactions, coordinate with cross system activities for root cause analysis of errors)
- Create and track change controls for all activities in quality and production environments
- Execution of Regression Test Scripts, error logging, system debugging
- Provide weekly status updates for to team lead

Adhere to the global regulatory compliance guidelines for all software and tools - Develop necessary documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, Design Documents, RSV (Requirements Specification Verification), etc
- Develop and test all new developed scripts

SKILLS

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant experience
- Oracle (Advanced)
- Sun Solaris (Advanced)
- 7+ years working with Oracle RDBMS 11g
- 7+ years in PL/SQL Scripting
- Developing/implementing stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers and types
- Expert in writing SQL queries using analytical functions, nested tables, ANSI joins
- Proficient with Oracle collections, autonomous transactions, Dynamic SQL, Bulk Collect, Bulk Bind
- Good SQL Tuning experience using Plans, Hints, TKPROF
- Scripting for creating and maintaining database objects (Tables, Views, Materialized Views, Indexes, Types)
- Good knowledge of database objects and DDLs
- Good knowledge of database architecture and best practices for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL coding style and application tuning
- Significant experience with SQL*Loader, TOAD, and Shell programming
- Good experience and ability to define and implement migration strategies from Legacy systems to new architecture and technologies
- 3+ years of experience in Installation, deployment and maintenance of J2EE applications on JBOSS (Version 5.1 & above) and Oracle application Servers (Version 10.1.3 & above) are required
- Must have worked in regulated environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills required
- Familiar with change management procedures for promotion of changes from Development to Production
- Experience in managing IT support queues
- Solid knowledge of MS Office Products (ie MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with good organization skills
- Capacity to work with direction but limited direct supervision and operate in an fast-paced environment
- Good follow-up skills (able to follow up with project partners to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
