Mechanical Piping Designer needed for temp to perm opening in south Houston, TX area with 5+ years on-site chemical or petrochemical plant and capital project experience. All field work required to produce the design, CAD and project deliverables required for both capital projects as well as maintenance projects. Local candidates, no paid relocation or per diem. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare complete drawings based on information obtained through independent investigation and from a design leader or an engineer.
- Prepares sketches, mark-up drawings, and layouts into a finished drawing.

REQUIREMENTS

- 5 to 15 years of mechanical piping experience at a chemical or petrochem plant.
- Microstation proficient required, Microstation V8XM a plus.
- AS degree in Drafing Design/Pipe Design a plus.
- Physically capable of doing necessary engineering field work such as climbing and working outside
