Pipeline Estimator

Prepare screening level estimates based on office research, and perform bottom up budgetary estimates based on field data and scoping.

Utilize engineering estimate accuracy guidelines to support project development activities; enforce guidelines when necessary or ask for assistance to do so from the Project Controls Manager.

Evaluate completed projects as benchmarks for future estimates. Work to narrow the differences between budget estimates and actual costs over time

Assist in maintenance of a materials basis of costs and a labor basis of costs, for estimate consistency

Demonstrate a good knowledge of cost estimating skills (written and verbal)

Demonstrate prior estimating skills in at least 1 of the following areas: pipelines, pump/compressor stations, interconnects, and electrical projects

High proficiency with MS Excel

Demonstrate an ability to derive results in an efficient and consistent manner, without frequent direction from one's supervisor

Demonstrate a good ability to communicate with customers in both written and verbal means
