Picture Editor

A Picture Editor is required for our major media client based in Salford, Manchester. The role will require the post holder to edit pictures for programme websites. You must have experience in a commercial setting and will have ideally worked in web publishing, ideally editing pictures on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities:
* Edit pictures for programme website
* Work within team with either existing process or via producers to brief/requirements based on programmes content.
* Work using Photoshop (CS4/5) - comprehensive knowledge/advanced standard -including ability to work quickly.
* Ability to review library images/select for impact
* Ability to fine tune or composite or work from scratch.
* Train in and apply appropriate editorial standards
* Complete all necessary administrative tasks and work to contribute to the smooth and safe running of production process.
* Manage time effectively.
* Commitment to providing output of technical high quality.
* Able to understand operational, journalistic and production requirements.
* Good interpersonal skills
