Our client is a strong player on the Belgian market and is looking for PYTHON/DJANGO WEB DEVELOPER.
-Python (Plone/Django) web developer-Diploma and language knowledge
-Preferably a master degree in a computer science or a bachelor degree in a computer science with 5 years of computer science experience.
-SMOOTH COMMAND OF DUTCH AND ENGLISH (SPEAKING, READING, WRITING)
-Thorough ACTIVE KNOWLEDGE OF PYTHON as an object-oriented programming language
-Thorough KNOWLEDGE OF THE PLONE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM or willingness to build up in-depth knowledge
-Thorough KNOWLEDGE OF THE DJANGO WEB FRAMEWORK or willingness to build up in-depth knowledge
-Thorough KNOWLEDGE OF COMMON FRONT END WEB TECHNOLOGIES (HTML, JAVASCRIPT (JQUERY), CSS (SASS), GULP)
-Operational KNOWLEDGE OF WEB (NGINX, APACHE), CACHING (VARNISH) and load balancing (HAProxy) Servers is a plus
-Operational knowledge of a Continuous Integration server (Jenkins) is a plus
-Operational knowledge of orchestration/configuration management tools (buildout/virtualenv, ansible) is a plus
-Knowledge of CURRENT SECURITY MECHANISMS in web applications
-2 years of experience with PYTHON WEB DEVELOPMENT-EXPERIENCE WITH PYTHON DEVELOPMENT IN A UNIX/LINUX environment

The customer's portal consists of a bilingual (Dutch & English) central website that also houses numerous sites of faculties, departments and departments. Every day more than 250 employees call on the content management system for updating their websites. They count on the substantive and technical support of the team Applications Communication and Knowledge Management.
In addition, the Applications Communication and Knowledge Management team also maintains a number of web applications to support the operation of various central services and faculties. This concerns an expanding range of various small to medium sized applications for mass mailings, support for quality assurance in education and research, a telephone book, etc.
These applications are written in Python and use the Django web framework.For the strengthening of our technical team we are looking for a DRIVEN PYTHON DEVELOPER. Together with the other team members, you take care of the development and management of the portal site, built on Plone CMS, and of Django web applications. You maintain and build on existing and additional functionality (analysis, development and documentation) and provide links to other systems.
