PHP Web Developer

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for coding web, mobile and social media tools for all ION Media Network brands. This is a contract position with a 4-6 month minimum commitment.

This job is based in our West Palm Beach, FL office. Applicants must be eligible to work onsite, in the specified location.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Working with the web and digital media team coding web sites, content management systems, web applications, web services, and mobile applications for all ION Media Network brands.
- Create new interactive tools (web-based, mobile, social media) to engage consumers and promote our on-air offerings.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

- 5+ years both front- and Back End experience with PHP, preferably running on Windows IIS, MSSQL environment.
- Strong development skills with in-depth knowledge of HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX & SQL
- Proficient with API integration and customization, particularly 3rd-party social media, mobile and gamification APIs.
- Understanding of video compression technologies for web & mobile delivery.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications, in particular, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator.
- Advanced knowledge of both Mac and Windows operating systems.
- Mobile application development a plus.
