Pharmacy System Upgrade Project Manager - EMIS

My client is looking to hire an experienced IT project manager to work on their EMIS pharmacy system upgrade.

The successful applicant will:

- Have a very strong background using EMIS (formerly Ascribe) from a pharmacy perspective
- Be able to apply formal project management methods (PRINCE II desirable)
- Have experience in delivering system and user training documentation
- Have been responsible for ensuring that all relevant users are provided with adequate training (including 'superuser' and 'cascade') in a previous role
- Have a thorough understanding of pharmacy and IM&T issues and their application within the NHS
- Have experience in creating new, or adapting existing training support documents

You will support the Pharmacy Directorate team to identify the scope, objectives and outputs of the project and prepare associated project documentation eg Project Initiation Documents, project implementation plans, benefits realisation and risk analysis plans.

You will be expected to deliver the project against agreed project plans to time and within constraints, using PRINCE2 aligned methodology.

In addition it will include implementing the Pharmacy System into a third-party outpatient dispensing service.
