Pharmaceutical Quality Control (QC) Analyst II Job

QUALITY CONTROL (QC) ANALYST II needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ALLSTON, MA.

THE BIG PICTURETOP SKILL YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Significant hands-on experience in the analysis of proteins, glycoproteins and/or peptides.
- Knowledge and experience with GC, HPLC, spectrophotometer, and general analytical chemistry required.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Providing analytical support for in-process, release and stability testing of drug products in a cGMP environment.
- Responsible for GC, High Performance Liquid chromatography (HPLC), spectroscopy, and Gel electrophoresis.
- Assist with investigating and troubleshooting assays.
- Testing of raw materials.
- Review data for compliance to SOP and product specifications.
- Participate in transferring methods from other groups.
- Assist in maintenance of complex equipment.
- Participate in authoring documentation for quality testing.
- Monitor processes and results and suggest method improvements.
- Provide training and technical leadership to less experienced staff.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- B.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Or Biochemistry with three to five (3-5) years of experience in a GXP laboratory or M.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Or Biochemistry with three (3) or more years of experience in a GXP laboratory.
- Significant hands-on experience in the analysis of proteins, glycoproteins and/or peptides.
- Knowledge and experience with GC, HPLC, spectrophotometer, and general analytical chemistry required.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with capillary electrophoresis, Excel, Word, and cGMP is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment and software for the respective analysis is highly desirable.
