Pharma Engineering Project Manager

Edelway is a Professional Engineering Services Company with over 200 consultant active in Switzerland and in Europe. We are currently looking for a pharma engineering project manager to join our international team at our global pharmaceutical client in the French speaking part of Switzerland (Geneva/Lausanne).
This will be a long term relationship and we will be particularly interested to hear from local candidates or keen to work in Switzerland.

THE ROLE
You will lead all engineering activities related to the revamping of the liquids bulk area as well as Vertical Start-Up Management activities until area handover to operations.
You should bring at least 5 years' experience working as an EPCMV Contractor (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management and Validation) and a solid project management experience with engineering investment in the pharmaceutical industry: design, construction, start-up, commissioning and qualification.

YOUR WILL BE IN CHARGE OF:

SAFETY
Ensures that HSE is Embedded in the design of construction
Actively contributes to HSE activities along the project (HAZOP, Hazardous area classification).

QUALITY
Make User Requirement happens: from needs identification to implementation and handover.
Ensure that all the investments are properly designed and executed in order to minimize the technical observations at the handover stage

SCOPE
Compliance of detail design to URS (User Requirement Specifications) and approved BD
Make sure that the strategy put in place is able to deliver project scope in time and in budget
Evaluate change needs in the area and follow the change process of the project.
Accountable for the design, review and validation of major multi-disciplinary technical deliverables like P&ID, line lists and equipment lists.
Approves the lay out development, technical definition of process equipment until construction and installation

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Lead Teams of operations representatives (Maintenance, Production, Technical, etc.)
Ensure proper project management methodology
Follow project steps including qualification, validation steps and handover
Responsible for the direction of the project, including cost management, timelines and quality of delivery
Responsible to lead the relationship with the Engineering (EPCMV) contractor: defines the technical specifications and architecture
Work closely with Utilities & HVAC design and construction team

YOUR PROFILE
Ms in Chemicals, Mechanicals or related Engineering fields
Experience working with EPCMV contractor
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management of engineering investment in pharmaceutical industry: design, construction, start-up, commissioning and qualification.
Experience in engineering disciplines related to process & equipment installation: instrumentation, automation, piping
Fluent English and French required with excellent negotiation skills (oral and written)
Understanding and realization of process maps, flowcharts, PFD, P&ID. Drawing
