Newly branded, PET-Xi are one of the UK's biggest educational training providers, working in schools around the UK and achieving significant and life-changing results for the young people we work with. Our digital team produces engaging online and interactive learning solutions, and we are currently looking for a Software Developer - C# / ASP.Net / SQL to become part of the expanding digital team focusing on bringing learning software to market. We are based in Coventry, West Midlands. The primary focus of this role will be: Specify, design, build, test and maintain features in our digital learning products, including our web-based learning platform, The Arena () Cover database through to web interface Manage deployment of web applications Lead work on continuous integration, performance, tools You will have skills and demonstrable first-hand experience of: ·C# ·ASP.NET MVC ·SQL Server ·TDD Other technologies we use which it would help to have experience of: ·Nant, Linq, TeamCity, Entity Framework, HTML/JavaScript/CSS, jQuery, Xml You will bring an enthusiastic "best practices" approach to unit testing and repeatable build processes. We have an always-learning approach to technology, and you will be expected to learn new technologies quickly. As a creative thinker and problem-solver, you will relish this great opportunity to challenge yourself in the area of learning, where every decision impacts the learning process. You will play a key part in shaping our digital products going forward from features to architecture, applying your skills and ideas from concept to completion in creating robust and engaging learning applications. Working closely with our in-house designer, developers and training team, you'll be required to contribute ideas directly into the design of our learning products and to communicate these clearly with non-technical people within the company. Making an impact in this role will involve you hitting the ground running and making it your own. It will require you to embrace new technical and personal challenges to make the role your own and to play your part in the company's success. You will be a graduate with a Computer Science or other relevant degree and 2+ years' commercial experience building websites. Have you got what it takes?
