For a project in Lausanne we are looking for a resource as a Perl and Python Developer
To develop bioinformatics pipelines to process raw data received from DNA sequencing machines and to create results files for further analysis by statisticians.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop scripts
- Test against live system using test data
- Convert existing bioinformatics scripts to Python/Perl
- Work with bioinformaticiens to develop new pipelines based on their specification
- Debug/optimise solutions
Required skills:
- PERL and Python coding skills
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- MongoDB
- MySQL data
- Results focused, service orientated, initiative and cooperative personality
- Understanding of bioinformatics and/or Life Sciences is a big plus
- Solid work history
- Fluent in English
- French knowledge would be an asset
