Performance Test Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a PERFORMANCE TEST ENGINEER to join our client in Mountain View, CA.

The Senior tester will work with a team of other software developers and testers to test and validate the performance and scalability of our SAAS solution for TV. She/he will participate in architecture and designs of various components that will enable the product to scale and perform well. He/She will also be involved in broad monitoring and service health strategy and vision for the Cloud TV solution. The position demands strong analytical and disciplined engineering skills, as well as organizational dexterity. There are many cross team dependencies, so excellent collaboration skills are important.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with on developing C# test scripts for content delivery software of audio/visual products from the cloud.
- Develop test scripts in C# from scratch.
- Will analyze, record, and present bugs found in a daily scrum meeting.
- Record the bugs so that the development team can implement corrections and then verify fixes.
- Work in an Agile environment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of individual contributor test experience spanning multiple ship cycles.
- Experience with C/C++, C# or Java.
- Passion about and ability to deliver high quality features and end-to-end scenarios.
- Proactive communicator; Effective influencer.
- Passionate ambassador for product and process quality and delivery in a predictable, controlled, high-quality manner.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expert in designing, executing and analysing load/stress/performance tests.
- Experience in writing performance test plans in support of end-to-end system performance evaluation and analysis.
- Working experience in various protocols HTTP, Web Services.
- Understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) using cloud platforms such as Windows Azure or AWS
- Expert in gathering and analysing of various usage statistics like peak hour usage, peak hour volume, transaction data and preparation of various load test scenarios.
- Expertise in the analysis of the test results and preparation of various graphs and reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical.
- Candidate should be able to adapt to a changing environment.
