Performance Engineer - Senior or Principal Consultant Level

Performance Engineer or Middleware Administrator required. Must be at senior or principal consultant level.

To cover an initial 3-6 months contract in London. Looking for someone with a good breadth of IT knowledge, covering the end to end IT stack (network, storage, server, operating system, database, application Servers and application). 

Equally need someone who is an excellent problem solver and capable of analysing and identifying solutions to complex performance problems. Should be capable of providing technical capability and direction to multiple technical specialists.

Typically you will have many years of IT experience, especially in project delivery and operations. This will crucially include the impact of performance initiatives on key IT systems.

- AIX, Linux, (AS400)
- Oracle, SQL
- Weblogic, WebSphere
- JVM, JRockit
- Loadrunner

Technical Competencies

- Tuning (network, TCPIP, system parameters, database, App server, JVM, application)
- Architecture
- Performance testing and modelling

Any retail experience would be a bonus.
