PEPTIDE SYNTHESIS OPERATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Emeryville, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- ABI Peptide Synthesizer
- Cleavage and Purification of Crude Peptides using reverse phase HPLC
- Recombinant antigens to larger proteins

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position supports production for cGMP peptides and HRP conjugates to meet production schedules and life cycle validation activities.
- Responsibilities include peptide synthesizer set-up for the cGMP production of three synthetic peptides using an ABI peptide synthesizer, cleavage and purification of crude peptides using reverse phase HPLC as well as conjugation of recombinant antigens to larger proteins

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must have one to two (1-2) years of cGMP experience
- Prepare intermediates needed for the production of Peptide Synthesis products.
- Perform in process testing of intermediates and bulk conjugates and complete associated documentation.
- Perform SAP duties that include cycle counting, reservations, and scrapping of expiring raw materials. Track and order for all department raw materials both warehouse.
- Perform annual column testing procedures.
- Track equipment calibration status for department cGMP equipment.
- Deliver in-process samples to QC and other departments as required.
- Assist on department related DRs/CAPAs.
- Perform all manufacturing operations under cGMP requirements.
- Follow valid manufacturing procedures and documentation.
- Maintain OJT records.
- Maintain processes, equipment and facility under cGMP compliance status.
- Maintain safe work environment complying with biohazard and chemical safety procedures.
- Maintain neat and accurate documentation.
- Submit documentation to supervisor in a timely manner. Maintain logbooks, inventory forms, OJT and other records as required
