We are seeking Pension Administrators to join our Operational Team based in Darlington on fixed term contracts until August 2014.

The successful candidate with play a full and active role within the Pension Protection Fund/Financial Assistance Scheme team, processing transactions with a clear remit to maintain high standards at an individual and team level. Our Pensions Administrators perform complex pension calculations and deliver a quality administration service to customers, by working as part of a team to provide optimal levels of member experience in terms of quality and accuracy.

This is a crucial role within Capita and as such you will play an integral and vital role in the company's and your own future success.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

. To deal with a range of pension calculation processes, including implementing new pensioners via Hartlink, performing manual assistance calculations, death benefits etc.
. To develop a thorough working knowledge of the FAS/PPF benefits, calculations, systems and procedures and understand the roles of all third parties involved.
. To understand and be familiar with the contracted performance targets with a view to offer a bespoke member experience of high standard professional level.
. To liaise and support payroll section in the monthly process of payroll administration.
. Contribute to and develop internal processes, assisting with training where required
. To complete scheme administration work as and when necessary, accurately and within agreed timescales
. To address any complaint cases in line with the agreed process

The perfect individual for this opportunity must be able to demonstrate the following:

. Excellent communication skills with proven objection handling experience
. Real attention to detail and the ability to explain comprehensive information in a clear and concise manner;
. Strong numeracy skills
. PC Literate and be familiar with Microsoft applications such as E-mail, Word, Excel

In addition, experience of working within a Pension administration role is desirable with the ability to apply this knowledge practically within a busy operational area.
