Payroll Manager-ACCA/CIMA

Sand Resources is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Payroll manager to provide direction for effective operational management and delivery of high quality customer services by the Payroll Data Team and ensure that the team meets the service and performance levels agreed with Shared Services' customers; support the Finance
*Well developed people management skills - ability to challenge, motivate and drive a culture of continuous improvement;
*Proven ability to understand, define and work with finance and HR concepts, processes and operations;
*Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with a wide range of internal and external customers.
*Extensive knowledge of Payroll systems processes and practices.
*Understanding of how the Payroll processes fit into the overall structure of Shared Services, SLAs and customer delivery framework.
*Understanding of legal and regulatory requirement related to payroll and employee tax and other deductions

Desirable
*Experience of working in a Shared Service environment;
*Experience of working with SAP and/or and ERP environment.

Key responsibilities
*Responsible for meeting the agreed SLA payroll performance targets.
*Responsible for the achievement of the KPIs within the Payroll function.
*Responsible for up to 18 staff.
*Accurate updating of employee payroll data and maintenance of integrity of payroll and system data.
*Payroll run occurs as scheduled.
*Provide professional direction and leadership to the Payroll team and support the Finance
*Ensure Performance Management Monitoring effectively measures activity by regularly reviewing performance against Key Performance Indicators, delivery targets and business plans; consider resource levels and making adjustments in staff deployment in order to improve efficiency
*Liaise closely with other Team Managers/Leaders to build and maintain good relationships and work on joint activities; optimise staff utilisation and otherwise respond to team objectives
