OVERVIEW:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for all payroll related processing including statutory tax filings and associated general ledger entries. This position analyzes and resolves discrepancies, and ensures that internal payroll policies and procedures are consistently followed. This position interfaces with Associates, Human Resources, General Accounting team members, all levels of Management, and outside vendor contacts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with processing and distribution of payroll via the time-keeping and payroll systems.
2. Transmit payments for payroll tax withholdings, 401K contributions, garnishments, and all other withholdings to appropriate agencies or service providers in accordance with statutory due dates.
3. Prepare all month end payroll journal entries including the monthly payroll upload to GL and provide support to General Accounting on payroll account reconciliations.
4. Analyze and reconcile all payroll withholdings between payroll system and agency or service provider balances.
5. Assist payroll coordinator in maintaining accurate and timely employee payroll data including attendance and vacation records.
6. Process all non-cash compensation transactions including stock options, employee stock purchase, deferred compensation, employee awards and relocations.
7. Register and maintain tax agency accounts.
8. Process all year end W-2 statements.
9. Review and maintain all court-ordered withholdings.
10. Analyze reporting requests and provide these reports to internal parties upon request.
11. Maintain and update all payroll procedures as needed.
12. Maintain proper payroll records to support internal and external audits.
13. Maintain current on all current payroll laws through on-line and written resources, and attending payroll seminars as needed.
14. Actively participate in all payroll system upgrades and integration projects as needed.
15. Train other payroll associates as needed.
16. Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll records.
17. Special projects and duties as assigned.
18. Run audit controls reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma required; Associates degree a plus.
- Minimum 4 years experience in payroll and ADP Payforce experience preferred.
- CPP certification desired.
- Solid knowledge of statutory payroll laws and payroll accounting practices.
- Ability to meet all payroll and accounting deadlines.
- Must be highly organized, detail minded, and able to analyze complex payroll transactions.
