PAYMENT CONSULTANT

Our client in Manchester have a contract Payment Consultant role to help advise and shape the clients payments strategy, the ideal candidate must have:

- Detailed knowledge of payments services with expertise in several UK payments options.
- Strong understanding of market changes and enabling technologies in payments or transaction banking specifically
- Robust analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to write and present in a logical and structured way
- Ability to confidently liaise with senior managers, conveying complex ideas and documenting the results.
- A secure and reliable payments service
- An appropriate total cost to serve for Payment Services based on the size of the Bank benchmarked against the payment market.
- Clearly defined customer payment requirements across the Bank taking into account known market trends, eg mobile payments/Apple pay Simplified end-to-end payments life cycle aligned to the target customer journey A fit for purpose payments capability with high STP rates Appropriate settlement, netting and charging capabilities
- Appropriate payments performance monitoring and management reporting.
