Our Claims Solutions Group advises insurers, self insured and corporate clients in their defence of claims relating to fatal accidents, catastrophic injuries, rehabilitation, employer liability, product liability, sports injuries, aviation injuries, occupational stress, repetitive strain, occupational cancers, new diseases, noise- induced hearing loss, safety, health and environment and severe road traffic accidents. Services cover both high value specialist claims and smaller, less complex ones. In addition to this, the team provides advice on fraudulent claims and coverage disputes.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Core Responsibilities

DAC Beachcroft are seeking a Paralegal to join the Casualty team in London, which specialises in Employer and Public Liability cases. This is a unique opportunity to develop your legal career and to work alongside our own experts in Casualty claims litigation. You will take ownership of your own caseload and regularly interact with clients.

Due to the nature of the work you'll be required to build relationships with client contacts at all levels from in house legal teams to production departments, human resources teams and line managers.

Your key responsibilities will involve running your own case load of Pre-Action disclosure personal injury cases. Your role will entail analysing evidence and setting case strategies encompassing both technical and commercial considerations, as well as obtaining and drafting pleadings, witness statements analysing evidence and setting case strategies, drafting pleadings, witness statements and letters of response, and negotiating claims. You will also be expected to handle confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols.

Key Skills

DAC Beachcroft are looking to recruit a talented Paralegal who has experience of Employers Liability claims, both pre-litigation and litigated and has worked in a commercial/target driven environment. We are looking for a team player, with experience of case management systems and a good academic background.
