Network Engineer - Packet Core Data

I am currently recruiting for a Packet Core Data Engineer to work for a leading telecommunications company based in the Netherlands. The Network engineer will report to the Technical manager or a Project manager concerning the activities. There will be some travel to customer sites where the new infrastructure is being implemented and tested.

You will plan, implement and optimise Data network infrastructure, within existing guidelines and procedures, keeping in mind the business and/or project requirements.

You will also be responsible for:

*Planning implementation activities reserving resources, conforming to LLD's, BOM's within the framework of existing, processes and procedures, to ensure the activities can be done within the agreed planning.
*Build, configure, optimise, test and accept new network elements, conforming to designs and change management procedures, to implement and activate new network infrastructure with a minimum of disruption of the availability of the service.
*Actively maintain and develop knowledge of the competence area, in order to be able to perform the activities with a sufficient knowledge level.
*On request of the NOC/Back Office: analyse and solve complex incidents to guarantee the availability of the network.
*Advise, deliver input for year plans, recommend technical improvements to Technical Managers, Project Managers and SDM, in order to contribute to the optimisation van de networks.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

*Broad Telecoms, IT and Technology experience.
*Broad overview of Packet Core Data technologies.
*Good acquaintance with telecom Packed Switched protocols and networks.
*Working knowledge of Ericsson SGSN/MME equipment.
*Working knowledge of Cisco GGSN equipment.
*Working knowledge of Openet PCRF equipment.
*Working knowledge of MSP equipment.
*Responsible, service minded, flexible, taking initiatives.
*Good communication skills both in English and preferably Dutch.
*Organised and disciplined: works according to strict processes and procedures.
*Understand the interest of internal and external customers.
