P6 Planner

P6 PLANNER - 6 MONTH CONTRACT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experience P6 Planner to joing a well known construction and engineering company in Warington. The successful P6 Planner will ensure efficient delivery to programme, management of programme to NEC Contract, timely notification of delays to allow proactive response, assist in tender activities and the mobilisation of the JV Project Management Office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop P6 tender programmes in-line with NEC Form of Contract
- Administer programme updates in-line with NEC Form of Contract
- Assist with P6 database developments and JV process & guideline development
- Work within the business controls for server operated P6 system database
- Produce programme updates, project status, schedule performance, cost profiles/performance, resource allocation and KPI reports.
- Cost & resource load programmes in line with contract requirements
- Earned value analysis, SPI & CPI
- Mitigation and delay analysis
- Perform regular data and baseline integrity checks.
- Work and interact with commercial team to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
- Work and interact with site team to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
- Ensure effective and efficient workload for operators and is in accordance with Company Safety Rules, Health and Safety legislation and Environmental standards. Particularly the CDM regulations where applicable
- Produce reports (Daily/weekly/monthly)
- Ensure Operational teams have fully scheduled work
- Generate effective team working relationships
- Ensure customer incidents/maintenance activities are effectively scheduled to meet all key performance indicators and service level agreements

Skills Required:

- Training in and operating experience of Primavera P6, ideally v8
- Experience of working within in the construction industry, preferably Water/Utilities
- Experience of working with NEC form of contract
- Live within 60 miles of Warrington
- Excellent IT skills (particularly with Microsoft applications - Word/Excel)
- Excellent levels of communication
- Ability to obtain information on programme from construction site personnel
- Communicate the importance of reliable planning to all
- Able to manage time effectively and work to reporting schedule
