OSS Solution Architect

Calling all OSS Solution Architects!

My client is keen to interview seasoned Solution Architects with an OSS background with a view to joining a project in Zurich as soon as possible.

The role
You will work directly with customer stakeholders to influence, define and agree the solution and systems architecture.
*Design End to End solutions in the area of OSS (Operational Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems) with main focus on OSS and more specifically in the areas of:
oNetwork Monitoring & Troubleshooting
oNetwork provisioning
oNetwork Device and Customer Device Management
oWork Force Management
oGIS/NIS systems
oService Monitoring & Management
oCustomer Order and Relationships management
*Review functional and technical solution designs created by corporate architects, delivery teams and external vendors
*Maintain the solution architecture blueprint (application inventory and interface catalogue) of the local and Austrian regions
*Enforce architecture governance in line with corporate guidelines and industry best practices
*Contribute to Identify synergies and propose solutions for the consolidation of systems in Switzerland and Austria, in line with the overall OSS Strategy
*Perform supplier solution/application review and acceptance
*Review vendor and industry developments and best practices.

You will have
*Extensive experience in architecture/solutions design in OSS/BSS systems in a Telco environment
*Strong technical background with hands on experience in systems integration, EAI design/implementation and/or Software Engineering
*Very good understanding of following technologies and architectures:
oRelational databases and Datamodelling
oWeb applications architectures
oService Oriented Architectures
oApplication and network security architectures
*Understanding of TM Forum Frameworks: eTOM, TAM, SID and Integration Framework (TNA).Experience driving or involvement with major OSS or BSS transformation projects or programs.
*Experience in managing and driving suppliers and vendors in projects, including requirements definition, solution acceptance.
*Ability to influence and convince on several levels in the organization.
*Excellent communication skills
*Excellent English language skills

Bonus skills
German language skills would be great but not essential.
*Strong and proven project management skills: Results driven, Persuasiveness, Leadership, Team player, Political sensitive, Sound planning.
*Knowledge of one or more of the following systems
*Netcracker, WebGIS, Oracle Fusion, ASAP, mLogistics, SevOne, cSpire, TMNGx
