Organic Chemist

OUR CLIENT IS A START-UP COMPANY IN CONJUNCTION WITH SEVERAL PARTNERING COMPANIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD. THIS COMPANY IS ANGEL FUNDED AND IS EXPLORING THE DEVELOPMENT OF LARGE-SCALE ETHANOL PRODUCTION THROUGH CELLULOSE BASED CHEMICAL PROCESS TECHNOLOGY AND DISTILLATION.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

- Product and Process Development
- Chemical formulation
- Analytical measurements of product through GC/MS
- Develop work on maximizing chemical and product return
- Refining time to formulation
- Possible Recycling of chemicals and bi-products
- Organizing and executing laboratory programs
- Collaborating with business partners and presenting on developments

Attributes for this role include a strong practical background in organic chemistry and the ability to apply chemistry and engineering knowledge to solve problems.

The successful candidate should possess organic lab experience having the ability to run the lab or work with others and thus excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
