CASE SUPPORT SPECIALIST needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Aliso Viejo, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the medical field.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Prioritize and monitor cases throughout the day.
- Follow up on requests from the Pathology Group.
- Troubleshoot missing or delayed cases.
- Q/C Consult cases.
- Maintain and manage Key accounts.
- Facilitate add-on test requests for Pathologists.
- Manage daily send out of consult cases to Consultants.
- Update Pending Lists daily.
- Manage the Pathology Worklist
- Remove completed cases from the Pathologists for filing or distribution.
- Create (accession) Bone Marrow numbers for Consult cases.
- Transcribe case reports.
- Provide status updates of cases as required.
- Facilitate case information flow to Client Services and the Laboratory.
- Act as liaison between Client Services, the Lab and the Pathology Department.
- Ensure that all actions taken on behalf of a client or a patient are appropriately documented in the current information systems and are according to standard operating procedures.
- Provide appropriate, prompt and accurate feedback on any request that originates from Pathology, Lab Operations, Sales or Marketing Departments.
- Assist the process of creating reports for Pathology
- Manage the Consult call schedule ensuring the Pathologists have the required material. Ensure all calls to clients are made in a timely way. Provide the appropriate documentation and feedback to the originating department.
- Data entry for CBC reports, including grossing details and clinical history.
- Aid Client Services in resolving problem cases.
- Participate in inter department meetings.
- Assesses and responds to situations where standard protocol has failed in resolving customer issues and works to resolve issues with other departments.
- Participate in daily Operations Meetings to provide updates to staff on case status.
- Provide status/productivity reports to senior management daily and as requested for special projects.
- Participate in workflow analysis and help to set up procedures for the department in conjunction with the Client Advocate, Client Services, Lab and Pathology teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Associates Degree
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the medical field.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies and work environment.
- Good typing and data entry skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact appropriately with Clients and Pathologists
