ORACLE MIDDLEWARE SPECIALIST

Location: Amsterdam
Start Date: 28th April
Duration: 3 months (Rolling)
Rate: €55 - 65 p/hr

The Technical Application Manager ensures optimal management and availability. Operational responsibilities will include the entire application software stack (from OS to application). You will also be the point of contact for the entire project team and in charge of application changes, installations and events, setting up and managing automated environments.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

- Install and configure non generic layered software such as Oracle, Apache Tomcat, Microsoft SQL Server, Biztalk or Flower on the basis of standards and installation manuals.
- Have demonstrable experience with application in a similar major client like UWV, so with large numbers of users, and national coverage of offices and departments.
- Regulate the transfer of the application after it is furnished to the management organization.
- Independently perform the coordination, cooperation and consultation with the client and other stakeholders, the proposed deployment of patches and risky changes that could affect the performance and availability of the application.
- Perform technical analysis and solve complex faults.

REQUIREMENTS

- IT or business Degree Qualification (Or relevant experience)
- Dutch and English is a requirement
- Experience in software development and are familiar with methodologies.
- Knowledge of and application or hardware architectures.
- ITIL essentials, practitioner.
- System knowledge on various platforms, particularly AIX and Windows.
- Knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Knowledge of security infrastructures.
- General knowledge of Networking, TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, etc.
- Knowledge of Webtechnology (IIS, MS Application Centre, ISA, SSL and security aspects).
