For our client based in Zurich, we are looking for an Oracle Developer to be part of the Solution Architect/Software Engineering team, where the main client is Financial Accounting. In this role you work closely together with the business analysts/requirements engineers.

Overview of the department

The current team with 15 employees, consist of very senior internal and external with a good mixture from Switzerland, Germany, England and India.

Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:

- An interesting role as an Oracle/Java developer within the Group Finance IT department of our client's in Zurich
- Possibility to analyze, develop, document and support IT solutions applications in the area of Basel III compliance (Large Exposure Reporting, Risk Weighted Asset calculation, Masking applications, etc)
- Opportunity to contribute to the success of business deliveries in answering and solving queries on potential data quality issues and analysing the detailed flow of data through the systems
- Exposure and collaboration with business counterparties, business analysts, requirement engineers, project managers and other project stakeholders

Internal trainings opportunities (online, classroom) on IT and Business topics as well as personal development linked to your activity

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

- Several years of design and development experience in Oracle based DWH/Datamarts
- Strong development skills in Oracle 11g, SQL and PL/SQL
- Strong knowledge in Datawarehousing concept
- Strong Knowledge of ETL processes, DWH job controls and workflow optimization (Informatica Power Center 8.6)
- Team player and ability to work in international and a heterogeneous team
- Ability to understand business requirements and to transform them into State-of-the-Art Data Mart solutions
- Experience with quality management tools, change management tools and versioning
- English (written and verbally)

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- Financial Accounting experience
- Experience with reporting tools (OBIEE)
- German is a big plus
