ORACLE DBA - SYBASE - SWITZERLAND
Empiric Solutions are currently seeking for an experience Oracle DBA to join a Global Blue Chip Company in Switzerland for an initial 6-12 months contract.
The following ORACLE DBA must have the following skills and experience:
- ITIL & Oracle Certified Database Administrator is required.
- Extensive experience in installing, configuring and tuning Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g.
- 5+ years experience Oracle DBA, preferably with experience of configuring and tuning.
- Ability to perform PL/SQL coding including areas of functionality and performance.
- Exp. of supporting various databases in a large environment or within a financial/investment environment.
- Experience with Oracle, Sybase IQ, MS SQL Server administration.
- Experience in proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of Database Systems.
- An understanding of incident management within IT infrastructure organization.
- Must possess strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills.
- Experience in Incident management, Release management, Change management, Problem management as per ITIL framework
- Unix admin exposure will be helpful
- Should be ready to provide support after business hours on weekdays and weekends on need basis
