Projektbeschreibung
Our client, a major Pharma global player is currently looking for an ORACLE DBA with experience in DB Performance optimization for a 9 months contract in Basel.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement database performance monitoring process and analyze monitoring data for performance optimization opportunities
- Create/Implement database maintenance plan to ensure data integrity
- Manage backup and recovery process (on-Off site)
- Troubleshoot PL/SQL code, Shell Scripts to support DB applications
- Work extensively with other application groups to design code and tune database objects
- Plan for and execute any required database upgrades and migration (patches etc.)
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum 5+ years of applicable work experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Minimum 5+ years experience in one or more of the following technologies
- Oracle Enterprise Server 10.2, 11.1 and 11.2
- Real application cluster (RAC)
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Performance analyzer
- Database security (Enterprise User Security, Auditing, ACLs)
- Database performance tuning
- Proactive monitoring via OEM or custom scripts
- Replication including designing for conflict avoidance and conflict resolution
- Overall Backup and recovery processes and technologies including RMAN, flashback, snapshots
- SQL and PL/SQL language knowledge
- Ability to understand the impact of problems on overall database performance
- UNIX and Linux operating systems (Shell Scripting capabilities is a plus)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Ability to collaborate with a development group and provide input to guide the database portion of a design Knowledge of these technologies preferred
