Oracle DBA - Exadata - Tier 1 Investment Bank - Zurich
An Oracle DBA is required for a leading investment bank at their Zurich office.
The candidate will join a team of Oracle Database Administrators who are responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the banks infrastructure.
The primary responsibilities of the Oracle Database Administrator include:
- Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle Database versions 10g and 11g on UNIX Platforms
- Configuration and troubleshooting of Oracle RAC, ASM & RMAN
- Build development environments and provide support during application development.
- Build production systems and provide support through to go live
- Provide documentation for production support
- Manage small projects and deliver to deadlines
- Be able to hold technical discussions with colleagues around the organisation and provide managerial updates.
The successful candidate will have:
- 3 + years previous experience as an Oracle DBA
- Experience in and willingness to provide 24 hour support
- Previous banking/telecoms experience is very beneficial
- Experience with Oracle Exadata
- Experience with RAC and RMAN are beneficial
- Excellent attitude to their work and energetic personality
