Oracle Database Administrator - Top Secret Clearance Job

ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Herndon, VA.

POSSESSION OF A TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Database storage, retrieval and customization
- Advanced expertise in Relational Databases

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Design, develop and maintain databases as well as perform database backup and recovery, database migration and archiving systems and procedures.
- Assist with implementation of database security infrastructure and creates and maintains user access accounts. Developing and maintaining professional relationships with vendors contracted by Client for services or equipment
- Implements database security infrastructure and manages user access accounts

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Technical bachelor's degree and typically five (5) or more years of related work experience or a Master's degree with typically three (3) or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Any of the following Certifications are desired in our ideal candidate:
- Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate
- Oracle Exadata 11g Certified Implementation Specialist
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) SQL Server 2012
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) SQL Server 2008
- Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH)
- Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Associate
- Oracle DBA Administrator Certified Master (OCM)
- Oracle Certified Associate, MySQL 5 Equivalent database certification

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Administering MarkLogic Server
- One or more of the following technologies:

Apache Hadoop, Structured Query Language (SQL) Server Integration Services, SQL Server Data Quality Services, SQL Server Master Data Services; MySQL 5.x+, Oracle Database 11g+, MarkLogic 5+, Microsoft SQL Server 2008+, Windows Server 2003/2008; Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Network Environment Configuration, Optimal Database Storage and O/S Configuration, Database Modeling via ERDs, PL/SQL, T-SQL, standard SQL, XML, XSLT, XPath, XQuery
