Oracle Database Administrator (Security Clearance Required) Job

ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA) (SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED) needed for a one (1) year CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's Government client located in San Antonio, TX.

TOP SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Oracle DBA experience in a prior Government related project
- Must have CURRENT NACLC INVESTIGATION in a Position of Public Trust (or)
- MUST HAVE CURRENT/ACTIVE SECURITY+ CERTIFICATION

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Oracle DBA contractor shall analyze, design, develop, test, maintain and document, or maintain current documentation of, database solutions to meet business needs and security requirements for assigned Legacy sustainment projects. This is to provide support to enhance the capabilities of various existing Human Resources (HR) web applications.
- Oracle DBA contractor shall ensure data integrity, database optimization and security by conducting periodic reviews/audits of databases.
- Oracle DBA contractor shall recommend database-related tools and techniques to improve performance, data integrity and capacity planning of database environments.
- Oracle DBA contractor shall perform data management and analysis tracking support for receiving, creating, controlling, processing, and transfer of data between DOD personnel systems.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors Degree with ten (10) years of exp.*or* Masters Degree with seven (7) years of exp
- Must have a minimum of FIVE (5) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN ORACLE RELATIONAL DATABASE SOFTWARE
- Must have a minimum of FIVE (5) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH UNIX AND/OR SUN PLATFORMS
- Must have experience in Database Administration
- Must be proficient in CREATING DETAILED PROCEDURAL LISTS FOR DATABASE INSTALLATIONS AND PATCHING
- Must have current NACLC INVESTIGATION IN A POSITION OF PUBLIC TRUST
- Must have CURRENT/ACTIVE SECURITY+ CERTIFICATION

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in Oracle eBusiness suite
- Knowledge of Data Security, Backup and Recovery
- Proficiency in Oracle RAC and ASM Admin and Installation
- Proficiency in Database Support for IBM WebSphere
- Experience in SQLServer 2003/2008 administration
