Oracle Database Administrator, DBA, 11g, German, Unix, AIX, Sybase.
Oracle Database Administrator required for a 1 year contract in Zurich.
Rate will be negotiable based upon your experience.
Project Information:
You will be responsible for the Database Administrator work to be undertaken as part of the regular Development and maintenance.
As the contact for the Application development for the design and engineering of the used Oracle databases (operation) and analysis of performance problems on Oracle level, and in close cooperation with AIX and Storage Engineering.
You will participate in various projects to database services provide, and consulting projects for the optimal use of databases and their backup and disaster Recovery planning.
Planning, design and implementation of interfaces for the loading and reading of data with the corresponding Monitoring functions in the context of Project requirements.
Brief description of the range of tasks:
Task description or definition of the delivery item.
Ensure the operation, support, maintenance and care of Oracle 11g (later 12c) database instances (Single instances and Oracle Data Guard) for production, test and development.
Support projects in the following areas:
Creation of database environments, Performance Analysis and Tuning, Implementation of Oracle Advanced Security features of support for creating Loader and export scripts
On-call services:
The whole week (seven days in a row).
Required Experience and Skills:
Absolutely necessary:
Several years of experience as an Oracle database administrator on Unix systems (AIX/Solaris Shell Scripting) - experience in database development based on PL/SQL and advising developers an advantage - evaluation of WAR reports.
Desirable:
Experience As a Sybase database administrator on Unix systems (AIX).
Required completed training and certificates:
Desirable:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
Behavior type/Soft Skills:
Motivated, communicative personality who can deal well with high pressure -Team oriented, responsible and able to work independently.
Languages:
English and German spoken and written.
