ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for an Oracle DBA for the Database Integration team. For this contract position based in Zürich Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Provide database integration solutions and integration of solutions
- Advice for design of solutions and implementation
- Handover solutions to 2nd Level support
- Support releases and deliverables of Projects
- Responsible for DBA requests
- Part of the on-call team

The skills and experience needed for this position are:

- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subject; alternatively relevant work experience in the database area
- 7+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration on Linux platforms
- Strong understanding in DB optimization and tuning
- Expertise in Oracle 11g, 12c would be an advantage
- Experience in production support
- Work experience in the financial industry
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage
