Oracle Application Administration/Support

Work with a very active application administration team that supports the Oracle Customer Care and Billing, Meter Data Management and Oracle Business Intelligence applications, among others. Support the platforms for specific applications. Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Perform system backups and recovery. Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. This is NOT a server administrator job. Some overtime is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Support Oracle enterprise applications as well as Legacy .NET apps
- Performing some SQL Scripting
- Migrating code
- Moving files for developers
- Troubleshooting/responding to application performance issues
- New application environment stand-ups
- Application monitoring

SKILLS:

TECHNICAL:

- Must have at least a year of application administration preferably with enterprise level applications. Oracle Applications is a plus.
- Must have experience with UNIX command level language.
- Must have some experience with SQL and SQL developer.
- Must be able to navigate/understand logs.
- Knowledge of Oracle Customer Care and Billing or Meter Data Manage Applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle databases is a plus.

SOFT SKILLS:

- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be able to learn and absorb quickly
- Must be a team player
- Must be flexible
