Oracle and ETL Developer, Informatica Powercenter, English, Banking (C

For our client, an international bank with a global reach, Swisslinx are looking for a highly motivated Oracle and ETL Developer ideally with good knowledge of Informatica Powercenter for a new long term project in Zurich.

This is a 6 month contract in Zurich starting in August/September 2015.

ORACLE AND ETL DEVELOPER, INFORMATICA POWERCENTER, ENGLISH, BANKING (CONTRACT, ZURICH)

The focus on this role is on Oracle database development and optimisation, including coding in SQL and PL/SQL. A great plus is additional knowledge in PowerCenter to configure and develop ETL processes.

- Oracle Developer will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing new features and change requests in Oracle databases
- Monitoring database performance and tuning SQL queries
- Identifying and resolving scalability issues
- Developing and amending stored procedures
- Writing PL/SQL code to implement business logic
- Configure and code in PowerCenter Jobs, Job relations and ETL processes
- Maintain and enhance complex ETL processes written in PowerCenter and PL/SQL
- He/she will also provide subject matter expertise and level 3 support to ensure the smooth running of systems and quick recovery from outages/downtime.
- Ensure timely delivery of requirements in line with project milestones.
- Report regular progress to the Project Manager

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- 5+ years' experience in Datamodelling, delivering Oracle based solutions - SQL queries, PL/SQL code
- Expertise in ETL processes design and implementation, data life cycle management, preferably with PowerCenter
- Understanding of financial products desirable
- Profound experiences with Data Warehouses and BI Open minded and delivery focused advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English
