OPEX Accountant

My client a large blue chip require an interim OPEX analyst for a period of 6 months.

- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that Opex plans accurately reflect the operational activities of the business and the resources utilised. 
- The role involves detailed liaison with the business finance teams and developing an understanding of the different business areas.
- Run monthly Outturn process, consolidating Outturn submissions from business areas and producing consolidated Outturn to be submitted to the FC and Central Opex consolidation team. 
- Outturn is a process conducted before the month end close to allow any risks or opportunities to be flagged.
- Produce consolidated Opex for month end with commentary on key variances, liaising with Finance contacts across BGB and the wider finance teams to ensure appropriate insight is obtained and robust commentary is received in line with deadlines.
- Understand the implications of SAP BPC from a consolidations perspective, adopt ownership of a couple of large Excel models which seek to provide an alternative view of Opex cost,
- Produce monthly summary on Opex spend which is seen by the directors, Run journal summary process in month. 
- This involves collecting detail from Business Finance teams, reconciling to SAP and presenting key movements to FC, Produce Balance Sheet reconciliation for Exceptional items, add value to existing processes to increase efficiency.

You will need to be strong on excel, experience of using SAP BW, working with a high level of accuracy, interacting with stakeholders and someone who reacts well to change.
