Operations Trade Support Analyst- Chicago

Role Responsibilities:

The following are key responsibilities fulfilled by a Operations Support Analyst in this role

* Point of contact between Development, Risk, Quant, and BA teams
* Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
* Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
* Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
* Ability to write complex queries for ad hoc data requests by internal stakeholders (SQL)
* Release implementation and post-release testing
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
* Accurate tracking of support effort to enable effective management reporting
* Maintain documentation on issue corrective actions in-line with best practice to ensure knowledge accessibility and continuous learning amongst team
* 2nd shift trading hour work required- 4PM-12AM CT Monday to Friday

Technical Skills:

* Unix/Linux background
* Shell scripting
* SQL (writing multiple queries, joining tables, etc.)
* Experience supporting a Java environment (either debugging or coding) is nice to have

Preferred Skills

* Self motivated with ability to multitask and work effectively under extreme pressure and stress
* Trade operations, application support, or production support background
* Financial background a plus (trading, exchanges, investment bank)
