Operations Project Manager Job

OPERATIONS PROJECT MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Redmond, Washington.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Coordinating and deploying changes into an IT environment. Once one or more changes are developed, tested, and packaged into releases for deployment, introduce changes and manage their release.
- Determining the readiness of each release based on release criteria: quality of release, release package and production environment readiness, training and support plans, rollout and back out plans and risk management plan
- Ensuring that operational stability is of the utmost importance. The goal of the release management process is to safeguard that all changes are deployed successfully into the production IT environment in the least disruptive manner.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5) years of experience as a project or a release manager - working on large, enterprise wide IT infrastructure and data center deployment projects.
- Proven track record of solving large scale technical infrastructure problems across the on premise and online space.
- A good and broad understanding of core technologies such as SQL Server, ASP.NET, Windows Server, Networking, Systems Center.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Team Foundation Server, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Microsoft Hardware Provisioning systems like MS Market and MyOrder.
- Experience working with GFS, MSIT people and processes.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience in Virtualization and Systems Management.
- Familiarity with game or entertainment production.
