Operations Manager Cloud Services AWS

We have embarked on the next steps of our journey of Software as a Service (SaaS), which will see eVision extending its service offerings to include infrastructure hosting in the cloud. This new service offering complements our products and provides a full stack service allowing our customers to concentrate on their core business. To meet the demand and accelerated growth, we are looking to strengthen our team with expertise in Amazon operations and information security.

As the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Manager, you will be responsible for LEADING AND DEVELOPING AN OPERATIONS TEAM, ARCHITECTING AND IMPLEMENTING SOLID FRAMEWORKS BASED ON THE AWS 5 PILLARS BEST PRACTICES FRAMEWORK. Your responsibilities will also include assisting the various operations teams within the organisation to build solid pipelines to promote continuous integration and delivery.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

- 5+ years of operational and systems experience
- Proven experience with operating complex cloud infrastructure at scale
- 5+ years of experience with AWS
- Deep understanding of cloud concepts such as virtualization, containerization, auto-scaling, continuous integration toolchains, building fault-tolerant solutions and fully automated systems
- Experience with immutable infrastructure approaches
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels within the organisation
- At least a Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or relevant equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering and or software architecting
- Strong knowledge and experience in deployment automation AWS Cloud
- Practical knowledge of software architecture and will have worked with teams that have delivered large scale applications in the cloud with AWS
- Expertise in developing complex cloud-based product/services using AWS
- Direct experience migrating applications from the datacenter to public cloud providers like AWS
- Experience helping development teams build and deploy micro-services based applications in public cloud
- Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery tools and processes
