OPERATIONS DELIVERY MANAGER

IT operations, Finance, IT Infrastructure, ITIL

The individual should be from strong operations background ideally should have worked within Financial Services organisation. They would have had end to end responsibilities for IT operations particularly in Infrastructure space covering Data Centre Services. In terms of applications, this is general understanding of application environment but not specific applications per se. They do not need to have deep understanding of applications. Primary requirement is Infrastructure environment who understand (Compute, Virtualisation, Storage, Infra Monitoring etc). ITIL at Foundation level will suffice but would expect practical understanding of the key process and applying them in driving operations and continuous improvement.

They should have worked within an outsourced environment either in a client facing role running operations or working in a client company and receiver of outsourced services. It is important that they have experience in offshore delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

IT Operations working with an offshore team

They will be managing a team of circa 10 onshore Indian guys who are supported by 20 at offshore. There will be an offshore service delivery manager

Excellent stakeholder management capabilities

Very good experience in managing large scale, green field projects.

KEY POINTS:

Should have good technical grounding in Data Centre technologies

Some knowledge of 3 tier application environment an advantage

Good ITIL knowledge particularly, Incident, Problem and Change Management

Experience in onsite/offshore delivery model

Good experience in identifying opportunity to driving service improvement
