The client is a large financial Institution in Luxembourg is looking for external support by an:  IT Operations Analyst (f/m)

Tasks/job description:

Provide support to IT mission critical applications within the Services environment and will ensure that maximum service level is provided to customers on a 24 hour basis.
Support the production environment 24/7 and will solve business and IT problems with innovative solutions to ensure that a maximum servicelevel is provided to Customers on a 24 hour basis
 Implement, integrate and support third party software as well as internally developed applications within the Services IT production environments
Analyse problems and resolve issues during shift work and will perform monitoring, tuning and optimisation of performance of in-house  IT applications whilst ensuring maximum availability and service to customers
Ensure the integrity of the production environment and will implement   upgrades or new products that are critical for the daily operational business

Qualificationsbasic knowledge of Java, Object  Oriented programming
Ability to work in a customer-facing role, service-oriented attitude and attention to detail

Additional skills (considered as an advantage):

Fluent in both written and spoken English and French. Additional languages will be an asset
A previous experience in a similar role is a plus.

Assignment Details:

Location: Luxembourg
Starting date: ASAP 
Basis: full-time
Duration: the assignment is currently foreseen until 31/12/2014  (extension possible), contracts might be on a three month basis
