OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

My Client in Madrid is currently recruiting on a long term basis.

KEY SKILLS:

- Deep understanding of the different Control-M Workload Automation versions, from v6.2 (currently running on Legacy systems) to v8.1.
- Control-M Configuration Manager (CCM) experience of account management, agentless Servers, cluster validation (set-up) and SSH key management.
- Experience of the Control-M Reporting facility.
- Full usage of Control-M command line utilities for automation of administrative tasks.
- Full usage of Control-M Planning for table management, job creation and job maintenance.
- File transfers ##:
- Full AFT (Advanced File Transfer) usage.
- Windows and Linux command line file transfers (secure and not secure).
- Windows CIFS usage: on-the-fly mount and un-mount of shared folders.
- File management: compression, encryption, concatenate/cut up, change of file encoding, CR/LF translation. (OSI.P.6)
- Knowledge of networks, Firewalls, ports, FTP protocols, CIFS etc
- Use of root access in both Windows and Linux, knowledge of Z/OS.
- Use of SQL access to the Control-M database
- Scripting knowledge:
- MS DOS batch
- VBS
- KSH, CSH

ENVIRONMENT KNOWLEDGE INCLUDING:

- An understanding of the IT organisation.
- Good working relationship with the customers and ability to easily understand the customer requirements.
- Good understanding of 3rd party supplier IT.
- Good understanding of the existing reports and feeds to be able to; support the Operational Support service to the business, readily diagnose requirements and resolve problems
- Experience of using PeopleSoft for scheduling, running processes, job frequencies
- Experience of processing incidents and handling requests (for new processing to be set-up, jobs to be rerun etc.) in the ITSM tool (Remedy). New file transfers may require the set-up of 'work orders' in the ITSM tool for other teams.
- Good oral and written communication skills in both ENGLISH AND SPANISH, with Spanish as the primary communication language.
- High-level knowledge of Windows client software: Office, file transfers, large file editing, file formats, compressing, encrypting, file encoding and automation of local tasks.
