Operational Risk Manager

OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGER

A new role has been created for an Operational Risk Manager to work very closely with the Risk and Solvency II teams. Working closely with the Pillar II lead, Actuarial and Risk functions you must have previously worked within a similar environment, open to challenging and technical projects.

- Build, support and enhance risk relationships by providing business areas with advice/guidance/support in meeting Line 1 assessment, oversight and reporting responsibilities as defined within the Risk Management Framework and Internal Control Framework
- Act as a centre of excellence for coordination and roll-out/embedding of the risk management tool (EGRC), which supports the effective/efficient operation of the RMF
- Design, implement and maintain component parts of the RMF and ICF, ensuring these meet regulatory requirements (including Solvency II) where required
- Lead Line 2 Risk Reviews of business as usual and project activity, reporting to management oversight committees and Steering Groups

KEY SKILLS:

- Solvency II experience/Basel II experience
- Capital Management experience
- Knowledge of operational risk and regulatory requirements
- Broad understanding of specialist operational risk related fields such as conduct of business compliance, business continuity, information security and actuarial processes
- Understanding of statistical techniques
- Excellent communication skills and gravitas including experience of reporting and presenting at senior management/executive level
