Position: Operational Risk Officer

RATE: £300-400 per day

Outsource UK are actively seeking to recruit an Operational Risk Officer for a three month initial contract based with our key financial services Client, that we are working with as a first tier supplier.

THE JOB:

Working as an Operational Risk Officer on a key project, the jobholder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including:

- Ensuring the client provides an outstanding service to our customers across the Branch network and Contact centres.
- Supporting and challenging the operation to identify key risks and mitigating actions through analysis of trends, review of controls and understanding change impacts.
- Developing and embedding a risk culture to ensure that you empower the operation to drive the risk agenda and view risk as a source of competitive advantage by protecting our customers and strengthening our Brand.
- Supporting the division to identify systemic issues and deliver improvements to divisional frameworks, through the management of controls initiatives.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

The successful candidates must have:

- Good knowledge of governance, operational risk concepts and methodologies, conduct risk and compliance.
- The ability to spot problems and provide insight to the business areas. You will be a confident communicator with excellent influencing skills and the ability to appropriately challenge at all levels.
- Problem solving and a flexible approach are essential and you will be a resilient individual who is calm under pressure.
- You will be required to work across different sites within the division and build effective relationship networks across the organisation to ensure that the risk management approach is best in class.
