OpenText Content Server Developer
We are looking for a candidate with at least 7 years of experience in development of OpenText Content Server.
Length of assignment/contract: 430 man-days/Around 2 years (initial contract) with real possibilities to renew for another 2 years more.
Ideal starting date: The assignment is expected to start on 28/09/2015 ("Start Date") and last until 31/08/2017 ("End Date").
Language skills: English only required
Main requirements for the OpenText Content Server Developer:
* Configuration of built-in features of Content Server (version 10 or higher would be considered as an advantage)
* Implementation of modules, either from the software provider (OpenText) or 3rd parties
* Deep experience with customizing existing- or devel-oping new features for Content Server
* Deep experience with OScript and Livelink SDK (Livelink Builder or newer)
* Deep experience with Content Server APIs (LAPI, webservices)
* Deep experience with HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, web developments
* Java and/or .NET, ideally in connection with Content Server (use of LAPI or webservices)
* Customviews, appearances
* Webforms, workflows
* Content Server database structures, livereports
* Search configuration, facets
* Document migrations to/from Content Server
* Metadata management: (custom) categories, attri-butes, classifications
* Testing experience
* Experience with user management, directory ser-vices module
* Experience in the following OpenText modules: CLM package, Enterprise Connect, WebDAV, AGA, Clas-sifications, Search, E-sign, E-link
* Upgrades between different versions of Content Server (upgrade to 10.5 would be considered as an advantage)
* Version control systems, preferable Subversion
* Experience with other document management systems would be considered as an advantage
* Certificates for Open Text products, Developer or Administrator would be considered an advantage
The activities/task related to this assignment that consultant will be involved are:
1- Daily Support
*main responsibility for DLM 2nd level support activity
*follow-up of support mailboxes and related tickets, both for GED and DLM
*single point of contact towards EIF user representative and if applicable other IT teams
*problem follow-up and resolution, proposal of solution including estimation
*prioritization of tasks
*root cause analysis
*investigation including (Legacy) code research
*small database updates
*small configuration changes
*documentation, following SDLC guidelines
*training/guidance of more junior or new resources
2- Evolutive maintenance, minor developments
*business analysis if needed
*design of solution including estimation, providing solutions
*challenge existing processes with the aim of reaching higher efficiency
*pre-release testing of newly developed functionality
*documentation
*minor developments and enhancements (new reports, features, new functionality, modules, patches, livereports, user interface changes, configuration or re-use of existing features)
3- Corrective maintenance
*necessary fixes in the core package, applying patches
*creation/follow-up of tickets (problems, feature requests) with OpenText
*bug correction on customized codes
*development and unit test
*user acceptance tests support, non-regression testing
*documentation of the solution
*investigation, correction, testing of a critical technical issue via an emergency fix procedure
4- Release Management
*branch management (ie patching and merging)
*usage but also configuration of build environment
*build of releases and preparation of go-live packages
*coordination with other IT teams if needed
*documentation, following SDLC guidelines
