Huawei OMC System Administrator
Please read on if you have the following:
- Incident configuration and change management
- Expert knowledge in M2000
- Either fluent French or Dutch
The System Administrator should be an expert in M2000; able to build scripts from scratch or according to a list of parameters. Applicants should be able to advise their manager when it comes to implementing new features (ie specify what the limitations of the system are). The Administrator is expected to know and be capable of explaining how to implement new features in the Huawei platform from written work instructions. Training the rest of the team is also part of the role.
The OMC Systems Administrator takes remote actions to operate and maintain our radio access network. The work, which is done in shifts, will be carried out in one of our remote centres (Antwerp, Brussels, Gent or Liege). Candidates should be up to date with Next Generation Network and will work with the Technical Management team to provide excellent customer service.
Tasks include:
- Second line maintenance, troubleshooting and reporting
- Preventative maintenance tasks defined for OMC
- Ensuring phone permanency - giving technical support to field operation teams and external parties
Technology:
- Call Manager Express (CME - Cisco)
- Site creation, adding new signatures and fault management for 2G/3G
- Sybase for Huawei database structure
- Adding interfaces like IUB, IUCS, Aint
