Offshore Logistics CO-Ordinator

Offshore Logistics Co-ordinator - 3/3 rotation - rate negotiable - immediate start - Aberdeen

My client, a major Oil & Gas operator based in Aberdeen are currently looking to recruit an Offshore Logistics Co-ordinator for a December/January start. In this role you will co-ordinate all materials and services requested by company during drilling and completion operations on board an offshore installation.
The individual in this position must be an excellent communicator with refined people skills as the function requires co-ordination with a large number of disciplines both on and offshore. Other desirable skills for the offshore Logistics Co-ordinator would be an understanding of offshore environment, particularly drilling and completion operations, he/she should be extremely diligent and numerate.

Accountabilities and End Results:

Provision of Daily Logistics Reports highlighting current/future requirements for both aviation and marine activities
Liaise with offshore Drilling Supervisors to ensure that all requirements are fully understood, specified and effectively communicated to the onshore Logistics Co-ordinator to ensure equipment and materials arrive offshore in a timely fashion

Primary Functions:

Liaise with Drilling Supervisor to determine material, service, rental requirements on a daily basis
Liaise with Rig Storeman to determine rig required material
Liaise with Catering Camp boss to determine rig catering requirements
Liaise with onshore Logistics Co-ordinator on call off's/future requirements
Update 7 day look ahead forecast with equipment and personnel requirements
Creates call off requisitions and submits to vendors indicating estimated timings for call off
Compilation of all relevant documentation for shipping materials and equipment onshore (eg, inbound manifests, dangerous goods, waste management dockets etc.)
Ensuring Port Authorities are informed of any inbound dangerous goods
Communicate airfreight requirements
Compilation and maintenance of rental, consignment and drillbit registers whilst equipment is offshore resolving issues when there are queries relating to missing equipment
Ensure rental materials are identified on all return documentation
Checking vendors' equipment on board
Liaise with Barge Engineer and rig deck crew on deck planning to ensure planned materials can be offloaded at rig once vessel arrives
Liaise with the rig Medic/offshore Drilling Supervisor in monitoring POB
Liaising with Platform OIM for any equipment and or personnel requirements when rigs are alongside production assets
Participate in daily morning Logistics call
Completion of daily drilling cost details into spreadsheet

Very good communications, and inter-personal skills
Self motivating, able to work unsupervised
Good time management skills
Proactive in conflict resolution

Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage

Other Information:

Critical that a close working relationship with the onshore Logistics department/service providers is established to ensure Well Operations Department is provided with excellent logistics service.
