Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health Job

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Pittsburgh, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

Our client is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to work for 1 (one) year in our customers Occupational Health Department. The Nurse Practitioner provides nursing care and occupational health support to the Pittsburgh site employees under the direction of a supervising physician consistent with company policy and regulatory requirements. The Nurse Practitioner will assess, treat and advise employees with minor to life threatening injuries, perform medical surveillance to detect health related problems, document and maintain medical records.

- Occupational Health
- Certified in First Aid, CPR & AED

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide nursing care and first aid within legal scope of practice to employees who become ill or injured at work.
- Perform pre-assignment health assessments
- Assess employees for return to work, fitness for duty, and recommend medical restrictions within work scope if necessary
- Implement health surveillance worksite monitoring and education programs which meet corporate, state, federal and OSHA guidelines (ie, hearing conversation, respiratory protection).
- Document employee medical information that is legible, accurate and detailed to ensure recordkeeping meets legal requirements and company policies
- Work alongside emergency response team to handle acute medical care in time of crisis, personal illness, or trauma

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing
- Certified in First Aid, CPR & AED

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Certification in Occupational Health is preferred
