NPI Sourcing Lead - Engineering

The New Product Introduction Leader demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. For this role, the scope of activities will vary from project to project and the NPI Lead will utilize their experience and expertise to effect short-term and some long-term strategies to support business goals, resolve problems, develop and execute business objectives.

- NPI sourcing project management
- Act as Avionics/Power business programs focal and serve as a subject matter expert
- Demonstrate leadership in communicating Avionics/Power business programs to Materials & Sourcing
- Drive proactive involvement in all functional activities, including Sourcing Commodity, Subcontract and Engineering Services, to ensure that sourcing has earliest possible engagement in all new programs to deliver strong value to the business
- Drive technical innovation in the supply base to deliver solutions related to the programs
- Develop technology road maps in respect of future business opportunities
- Commercial input into bids and proposals for technology enablers and major subcontract products
- Lead sourcing strategy, assessing supplier capabilities and making source selection (new materials, processes and suppliers)
- Conduct competitive analysis of new supplier products/services
- Contract with suppliers for new technology enablers, materials, processes as required for the program
- Tollgate process responsible 0-9
- Manage supplier cost in support of program budgets
- Manage supplier schedule in support of program timescales
- PIA, NDA, TAA, MLA awareness
- Understand and be accountable for sourcing compliance and its documentation (P.O. Folders, CAPA, TINA, Export etc.)
- Collaborate with commodity, engineering services, fulfillment and subcontracts in order to drive business programs' objectives and support smooth operations
- Drive quality improvement processes targeting reduction in future product variation utilising key management tools.
